As Ed Donahue lays in his hospital room dying of cancer, the medical staff are baffled as to why he is clinging so tenaciously to life.  What they do not know is Ed has made a deal with Death to use this extra time to come to terms with the mistakes of his life.  Now, as the Messenger of Death returns for Ed, they both discover that their deal had greater consequences than they realized. Ed discovers the true nature of the Afterlife and the Messenger re-discovers his humanity. As the story concludes we find that there are some things even Death can learn.

A women arrives at a downtown hotel to meet a male friend for what she thinks is the start of an affair to remember. But, the uptight women gets increasingly alarmed by what her paramour is suggesting they do! The man is equally baffled at the womens confusion.  In the end, they find out that each has a completely different idea of what is supposed to be going on!

Three sons meet in a bar in the midwest to plan their father's funeral and end up drunkenly reminiscing about what a bastard he was!  As the drinks flow, their ideas for their father's internment grow more and more outrageous.
