| As Ed Donahue lays in his hospital room dying of cancer, the medical staff are baffled as to why he is clinging so tenaciously to life. What they do not know is Ed has made a deal with Death to use this extra time to come to terms with the mistakes of his life. Now, as the Messenger of Death returns for Ed, they both discover that their deal had greater consequences than they realized. Ed discovers the true nature of the Afterlife and the Messenger re-discovers his humanity. As the story concludes we find that there are some things even Death can learn. | |||||||||||||||||||||
