Production Synopsis:
This was Shady Shakespeare's first season at Sanborn Park in Saratoga California.  The park is located in the Santa Cruz Mountains above Saratoga of  Highway 9.. While quite removed from civilization it was amazing how large the crowds were.  (They would grow even larger the next year with "A Midsummer Nights Dream"). This was my first show with Shady having finally made time in my schedule to audition and they being kind enough to offer me a part!  I played Leonato which is a wonderful role and one of my dream roles after having performed as the Friar in a different production a few years before.(that Much Ado was at Foothill Studio Theatre in Los Altos Hills, CA see the scrapbook for more info).  As fate would have it, Rob Price, who was the evil Don Jon in the earlier production was cast as the same villian again in this show, so we had two alumni present.  Both of us have had good luck with our Much Ado's as both have been very positive experiences.
